Position Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Process Technician to support the daily operation and upkeep of complex production and facility equipment in an industrial setting. This technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of machinery used in the manufacturing process.

This is not a remote position— all work will be performed onsite in a dynamic production environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on equipment used in production processes such as extrusion lines, CNC machines, electric and pneumatic presses, and systems incorporating hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, and PLCs
• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce machine downtime
• Occasionally coordinate with external contractors on building systems like chillers, compressors, HVAC units, pumps, and blowers
• Use judgment and hands-on skill to identify faults , disassemble machinery, source or fabricate parts, and test completed repairs
• Maintain a focus on safety in every task and encourage the same of others working nearby

Key Skills & Capabilities

• Ability to diagnose mechanical systems (gears, belts, bearings, etc.) and electrical circuits using appropriate tools
• Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
• Confident using various shop equipment like saws, grinders, hydraulic presses, and band saws
• Able to interpret technical drawings and manuals written in English
• Working knowledge of basic electrical systems and ability to use digital multimeters to identify voltage issues, faulty components, fuses, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and team-focused attitude
• Competency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Comfortable working with Lean Manufacturing concepts and participating in improvement projects
• Familiar with industry quality and safety standards (e.g., ISO or AS/QMS frameworks )

Physical Requirements

• Frequently required to lift up to 50 lbs , stand for long durations, climb ladders, squat, bend, and work in confined areas
• Must have the ability to use sight, hearing, touch, and smell to identify issues with equipment
• Work is regularly conducted in environments that may be noisy, hot, humid, or cold

Preferred Experience & Education

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 2-year technical or trade school certification preferred
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in equipment maintenance or industrial manufacturing
• Experience with PLC programming, AC/DC drives, or motor controls is considered an advantage
• Basic math skills and proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required (Texas license preferred if working in-state)

Additional Notes

• Will be expected to attend all required team training and safety meetings
• Must support production engineering efforts in yield improvement and process optimization
• May assist in revising SOPs and work instructions as part of ongoing process development
• Must maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with 6S standards
